Tortoise Stained Glass Panel by Deborah Lowe
Deborah Lowe’s work can be found in a variety of historic and contemporary buildings, with commissions ranging from churches and synagogues to hospitals, schools, and private homes. A specialist in kiln-fired glass painting, Deborah creates unique glass art designed to complement any architectural setting.
This piece is part of a series of stained glass panels created exclusively for David Parr House, inspired by the central designs from archival F. R. Leach & Sons stained glass cartoons.
After earning a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art, Deborah went on to study Architectural Stained Glass at the prestigious Swansea Institute. She gained valuable experience working as both an apprentice and manager in architectural stained glass studios. Deborah was awarded the two-year incumbency of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers' Studio in Ironbridge before setting up her own studio.
Deborah is an Associate Member of the British Society of Master Glass Painters and a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers by Gift. She now works from her studio located on the Yorkshire-Lancashire border.
