The Pin Collection

For 2026, this exclusive collection of pins was handmade by potter Kate Webber, based at Kiln Cambridge, a community pottery studio. Each stoneware pin is screen-printed by hand using coloured slip, with a design inspired by the painted interiors of 186 Gwydir Street.

This year’s four designs all draw from David Parr's beautiful hand-painted walls. Kate began by sketching selected motifs by hand, creating custom silkscreens from these drawings. Using ceramic slips in neutral colours chosen to complement the house, the designs were transferred onto white stoneware clay through a careful screenprinting process.

Each piece was then shaped, refined, fired, glazed, fired again, and finished with a secure locking pin back. The result is a small but meticulously crafted object that echoes the craftsmanship found throughout the house.
