Jill Pargeter Piggy Craft Kit

The 'piggy' craft kit is suitable for a beginner and includes an original design printed on linen fabric with full instructions and materials to make your own embroidered textile piggy . You will use a range of basic stitches to hand embroider the printed linen fabric using the stitch instruction sheet as a guide. After completing the embroidery the fabric pieces can be cut out and assembled following the step by step illustrated instructions.

Each kit contains:

• the printed linen fabric
• wadding
• DMC cotton embroidery threads
• needle
• a needle threader
• hanging ribbon
• string tail
• stitch guide and instructions with photos. 

Finished piggy size - approx 18cm x 11cm

Jill Pargeter Artist's Statement:

"I have been working as a printmaker and designer for over thirty years after studying printed textiles at Manchester Polytechnic. All of my work is handmade to my original designs from printing, stitching and finishing the final pieces.

My work is inspired by folk art and the Arts & Crafts Movement and it combines my love of history, nature and poetic verse. My designs are hand drawn and then screen printed onto fabrics from which I produce a range of decorative objects for the home."
