House Visit
Joined by our friendly and knowledgeable guides, the House Visit invites you to explore the home of Victorian art-workman David Parr and his family at your own pace, spend time with these remarkable interiors, and ask questions. Visits are limited to six guests at a time, offering a personal and intimate experience of this historic home.
Your visit will last approximately 50 minutes, with time after to browse our shop, archive area, and gardens.

Help Support David Parr House through Gift Aid
As a UK taxpayer, you can support David Parr House by opting to Gift Aid your ticket. By choosing to give a 10% donation, the Government will give us an extra 25% on top of your whole entrance fee. It makes a massive difference to charities like us and makes a significant contribution to the maintenance of the House. You can select a Gift Aid ticket and add Gift Aid approval at checkout.
Please note: We release tickets for House Visits and Guided Tours one month in advance. If you do not see availability, please check back closer to the time of your planned visit date.

Refunds and Cancellations
- If it's less than 2 weeks until your visit, your ticket cannot be refunded or exchanged. Please email info@davidparrhouse.org with all booking enquiries. When You Arrive
- Please arrive on time for your visit.
- On arrival, please ring the bell at 184 Gwydir Street and we will welcome you inside. Visiting Restrictions
- Students must bring a valid student ID or NUS card to show on arrival. Without this, you may not be permitted entry.
- All guests must be at least 12 years of age. Guests aged 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
- All bags must be left in the secure locked drawers in 184 Gwydir Street.
- Mobile phones must be switched to silent for the duration of the visit, and photography is not permitted inside the House.
- Stiletto heels and bulky coats cannot be worn in the House. In the winter, the House is cold, so please wear warm layers.
- Dogs are welcome in the shop and garden, but not inside David Parr House itself. Accessibility
- All visits involve walking around the House and climbing steep stairs.
- David Parr House (Grade II* listed building) has various floor levels and is not wheelchair accessible. Our Shop and Studio Space is partially wheelchair accessible.
