Daisy Trinket Plate by Hello Shan (Blue)

These original creations, inspired by the painted walls of 186 Gwydir Street, are an exclusive collaboration with Cambridge-based potter Shirley Payton (Hello Shan Studio). After studying graphic design and discovering a love of illustration, Shirley started taking evening pottery classes and loved the process of translating her creativity into clay. Shirley is inspired by mid-century and folk design, with colours and themes that are bright and bold. She approaches the surface of the clay as a piece of paper or canvas. All her work is hand painted individually at the community studio Kiln in Cambridge so each piece is unique.
