Pink Calendar silk scarf by Rory Hutton

The Calendar Scarf showcases a captivating linocut design with beautifully illustrated, whimsical frames in the Florentine style.  Each frame features a delicate posy of flowers tied with a ribbon, representing a month of the year in an English garden - from delicate snowdrops for January to exuberant roses for June. Completing the design is an elegant border of scattered flowers and a string of pearls.

‘My love for eighteenth-century botanical etchings inspired this scarf, paying tribute to the magnificent horticultural libraries of that era. I make it a point to carry a sketchbook with me wherever I go; the decorative frames featured in the Calendar Scarf were inspired from sketches I created during visits to galleries and palatial residences in Tuscany last summer.’
