This month, we had the pleasure of visiting artist and designer Lucy Gough in her home studio to discuss her creative practice and her impressions of David Parr House. Lucy's hand-screen printed bookmarks, inspired by the stunning details of David Parr House, are now available in a range of colours in the David Parr House Shop. Explore them here.

Lucy Gough described her first visit to David Parr House as “totally awestruck and a little overwhelmed.” She likened the experience to traveling back in time, evoking memories of childhood visits to relatives. Lucy found the house to be a magnificent example of living history, immaculately preserved and brimming with skill and talent. “It’s unimaginable to think of the hours and dedication that went into it—a true labour of love and devotion,” she reflects. To her, David Parr House is Cambridge's hidden gem, a place where time seems to stand still.
