Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting local printmaker and photographer, Sarah Vigliotti, in her studio. We were eager to learn more about her work and her recent collaboration with David Parr House. Sarah has created a stunning original lino cut of our beloved house, as well as a limited edition of prints that are now available in our shop.

"I've always been captivated by old houses and their rich histories," Sarah shared with us. "When I first heard about David Parr House, I was immediately intrigued. Seeing the house in person was truly breathtaking. It's a place that feels both lived-in and timeless."

Sarah's work is inspired by the quiet beauty of urban and rural landscapes, and a deep fascination with the passage of time. Her prints often depict spaces that are often overlooked, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the details. While she typically excludes human figures from her work, her images still evoke a sense of human presence and history.

Sarah's lino cutting process is a testament to her love of drawing. She embraces spontaneity, allowing the lino to guide her mark-making decisions. The element of surprise in each print is what excites her most about this medium.
