We’re thrilled to have welcomed artist Adam Bridgland to David Parr House this summer for Cambridge Open Studios 2024. Adam's Garden Installation as part of House Guests 2024 invites us to explore a new dimension of the house, inspired by a single line from Frederic Faber’s hymn, "There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy."

Adam's work focuses on the phrase "There is room for fresh creations," a statement that follows the words gracing David Parr's Drawing Room walls. By highlighting these unseen words, Adam expands our perception of the house, transforming it into a space of endless possibility and creative exploration.

This summer, Adam also joined us for Open Studios. We were delighted to see so many people enjoying the exhibition, exploring the gardens, and immersing themselves in Adam's creative world. A special shoutout to Adam for spending the afternoon sharing his passion for screen printing with our visitors.

If you couldn’t join us last weekend, fear not! Adam and Lucy's studios will be open again this Thursday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm. This is your chance to experience Adam's inspiring installation, discover the beauty of our gardens, and get Adam's exclusive print, "There is room for fresh creations," now available in our shop.
